KARACHI: Chinese Ambassador to Pakistan, Jiang Zaidong, celebrated the success of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), emphasizing its pivotal role in fortifying the enduring friendship between the two nations.

Zaidong shared that CPEC has attracted $25.4 billion in direct investments, generated 155,000 jobs, added 510 kilometers of expressways, enhanced power capacity by 8,200 megawatts, and extended the power transmission grid by 886 kilometers in Pakistan. This remarkable progress has significantly bolstered Pakistan’s economic and social development, earning accolades from Pakistani leaders and the broader society.
Moreover, Zaidong revealed China’s plan to host the Third Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation in Beijing, focusing on creating more opportunities for global development. This initiative underscores China’s unwavering commitment to international cooperation and growth.
China is dedicated to advancing global development initiatives, including the Global Development Initiative (GDI), the Global Security Initiative (GSI), and the Global Civilization Initiative (GCI), in partnership with Pakistan. This endeavor is underpinned by the principles of extensive consultation, joint contribution, and shared benefits, with the goal of promoting regional and global peace and development. Ambassador Zaidong expressed a firm belief that by adhering to the critical consensus reached between President Xi Jinping and Pakistani leaders, nurturing a closer China-Pakistan community of shared future, and prioritizing the high-quality development of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), the enduring strategic cooperation between the two nations will deepen and strengthen. This, in turn, will safeguard mutual interests and benefit the people in the face of unprecedented global changes.
Over the past decade, China introduced three notable initiatives: the Global Development Initiative (GDI), the Global Security Initiative (GSI), and the Global Civilization Initiative (GCI), guiding progress in various dimensions of human society. These initiatives aim to transform people’s aspirations for a better life into a reality. China remains dedicated to creating an open, inclusive, clean, and harmonious world characterized by lasting peace, universal security, and shared prosperity. The vision of a global community of shared futures has grown richer, seen practical implementation, and garnered international support.
To foster a deeper understanding and consensus on a global scale, the Chinese government published a white paper titled “A Global Community of Shared Future: China’s Proposals and Actions” on September 26th. This document elaborates on the theoretical foundations, practical applications, and ongoing development of this concept, affirming China’s commitment to international cooperation and shared progress.
