QUETTA: Chief Minister of Balochistan Sarfaraz Ahmed Bugti said that the recent torrential rains in Gwadar have severely affected the province’s important coastal city. The provincial government is standing with its people in this difficult time.

Referring to the relief efforts by the King Salman Relief Center for the affected in Gwadar, the Chief Minister, while appreciating Saudi Ambassador to Pakistan Nawaf bin Saeed Al-Maliki and the Saudi government, said that Pakistan and Balochistan have no role in global climate change and greenhouse gases, but unfortunately, Pakistan, especially Balochistan, is being greatly affected by environmental changes.

He said that in times of difficulty, the Saudi government has always been with Pakistan. 873 tons of essential food items are being sent to Gwadar to meet the nutritional needs of the affected, and 9,000 food packages will be distributed among those affected by the recent floods in Gwadar.

This package will reach up to 63,000 people. It is noted that the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) has dispatched trucks carrying essential food items (873 tons) to Gwadar, Balochistan, for those affected by the recent rains and floods.

Apart from the 9,000 food packages, KS Relief is also providing 9,000 Shelter NFI Kits (315 tons), including shelters, solar panels, blankets, plastic sheets, kitchen sets, water coolers, and antibacterial soap, to more than 63,000 additional people.
