Wheat procurement case: BHC summoned CM on June 12th

QUETTA: The Balochistan High Court has summoned the Chief Minister of Balochistan, Mir Sarfaraz Bugti, on June 12 regarding alleged irregularities in wheat procurement.

On Monday, the division bench of the Balochistan High Court, headed by Chief Justice Hashim Khan Kakar, heard the case related to wheat procurement. During the proceedings, the Balochistan High Court personally summoned the Chief Minister of Balochistan in the case.

Upon this, the Advocate General Asif Reki stated that the Chief Minister of Balochistan is not in Quetta, he will return from Islamabad to Quetta today. Consequently, the court adjourned the hearing of the case and Summoned Chief Minister Balochistan on June 12.

Meanwhile, during the hearing, the court revoked the order of transfer of the Food Director General Zafrullah and extended the stay order against the wheat procurement. Allegations of irregularities in wheat procurement were leveled by farmers, and farmers in Naseerabad also protested against alleged irregularities in wheat procurement.
