According to the spokesperson of the Foreign Office, the meeting between the two leaders was attended by senior officials from both sides and the Foreign Minister expressed his condolences over the March 26 Shangla attack.
Ishaq Dar assured to bring the culprits to justice and appreciated the services of the Chinese workers who died.
Spokesperson of the Foreign Office said that during the meeting between the two leaders, the second phase of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) was discussed, while Ishaq Dar and the Executive Deputy Prime Minister of China discussed various aspects of bilateral relations including trade, economic cooperation and investment in detail.
In the meeting, the two leaders also discussed connectivity through the Khunjarab border crossing and facilitated visa system, agreed to maintain the growing momentum of Pakistan-China relations in all areas of cooperation and deepen Pakistan-China friendship.
Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar reviewed the progress made by CPEC in energy and infrastructure and expressed confidence in the positive returns under the second phase in the sectors of industry, agriculture and mineral development.
The Executive Vice Premier of China expressed China’s full support for Pakistan in all areas of cooperation including economy, trade and investment and reiterated the importance of speedy implementation of CPEC projects for mutual prosperity and development.
