QUETTA: A Levies Resaldar of Pishin was martyred due to firing by the criminals while three officials were injured during an operation by the district administration against wanted criminals and law-breaking elements in the Kili Manzari area of Pishin district on Wednesday.
During the operation around 24 suspected criminals, including advertising offenders, were arrested, and a stolen vehicle was recovered.
According to details, on Wednesday, under the special direction of Deputy Commissioner Pishin, Retired Captain Juma Dad Mandokhail, Levies Force personnel Hamidullah Tareen led an operation against advertising offender Dad Muhammad alias Dadgai and his suspected accomplices. During the search operation against the advertising offenders, Levies Force personnel Hamidullah Tareen was martyred in an exchange of fire with the criminals, while three officials, Musa Jan, Bilal Khan, and Zahoor Agha, were injured.
Deputy Commissioner Pishin Retired Captain Juma Dad Mandokhail informed that during the search operation, 24 suspected criminals, including eight facilitators, were arrested, and a stolen vehicle was recovered. He further stated that the criminals who had escaped by breaking Chamman Jail during the operation have also been arrested.
The martyred Levies Force personnel Hamidullah Tareen and the injured Levies officials were shifted to Pishin Hospital. According to the district administration, the operation against criminals and law-breaking elements will continue until they are brought to justice. The martyred Levies Force personnel Hamidullah Tareen was laid to rest in his ancestral village Kili Malkyar.
The funeral prayers were attended by senior officials of the district administration, government officers, as well as various political, tribal, and social figures.”
