QUETTA:-The induction of some provincial ministers in the interim Balochistan government has been challenged in the Balochistan high by filing a partition on Monday.

The division bench comprising Chief Justice Naeem Akhtar Afghan and Justice Gul Hassan Kasi has issued notices to the attorney and advocate generals for August 30, after initial hearing of the petition.

The petitioner pleaded in its petition that some of the ministers, who were indicated in the interim government, have political affiliation which negates the concept of non-political government.

It said that Provincial Minister for education Dr. Qadir Bakhsh Baloch was vice Chancellor of the Chakar Khan University Sibi and is a resident of Dera Ghazi Khan. According to the election commission the record Qadir Bakhsh belongs to Peshawar.

It was claimed in the petition that Dr. had been punished over the charges of illegal requirements in the Koh-Mardan. The petitioner has claimed that Ms. Shaina had been removed from the post of coordinator of the former Chief Minister on August 9, 2023 along with other coordinators as result of a decision of the high court.

The petitioner claimed that Jan Achakzai had defended various poetical parties on TV channels and had dual nationality while Capt. (Retd) Zubair Jamali is a close relative of the speaker of Balochistan Assembly.

According to the Election Act 2017 a person who does not fulfill article 62, 63 of the constitution of Pakistan could not become a member of the federal and provincial parliament. Some of the ministers and advisors inducted in the interim cabinet could not fulfill different articles of the constitution. In view of this situation the disputed ministers and advisors should stop working and their appointment should be declared illegal.
