QUETTA: The Government of Balochistan keeping in view the stable development goals has decided 5 years strategic plan for lady health workers.

This was stated by Secretary primary and secondary healthcare Balochistan Aziz Jamali, Federal DG Health, DG Health Balochistan Dr. Nasir Bugti, LHW Program Provincial Coordinator Dr. Samiullah Kakar head of UNICEF, WHO, UNFPA, N- staff along with other partners participated a two days workshop was conducted in Serena.

The LHWs program will be enligned with universal health coverage (UHC) to achieve the millennium development goals. As LHWs are playing vital role on preventive side of the health department and is the backbone of all interventions, therefore without active participation of them, SDGs are not achievable.

PC LHW program, Dr Samiullah kakar ensured that the LHWs will play their role in achieving the SDGs targets as they are already participating in various programs to convey the health care messages to community. Secretary sb urged the program to make sure their presence in the field and the department will see their performance.
