DALBANDIN: An sports festival was organized in Chagai district to commemorate the birth anniversary of the father of nation Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinah. Different games including football, cricket, hockey, badminton, snooker, table tennis were played, besides speech competitions were held between students in Dalbandin, Nokkundi, Taftan and Chagai town since first week of December.
The firstever unique sports festival in Chagai was funded by Pak Army’s 61 Brigade, District Administration and Saindak based MCC Resource Development Limited. Chagai Deputy Commissioner Agha Sher Zaman told Dawn that competitions of the majority of games had been concluded on Tuesday and the prize distribution ceremony would be organized on Wednesday at Shaheed Eid Muhammad Notezai Football Stadium in Dalbandin. He said the Quaid-e-Azam sports festival was aimed at promoting healthy activities and remember the fruitful struggle of late Muhammad Ali Jinah.
