Quetta: – A former Governor of Balochistan and sitting member of the Balochistan Assembly Syed Fazal Agha died of Coronavirus in a private Hospital in Karachi, on Wednesday evening. He was 74.

“Fazal Agha passed away in Agha Khan Hospital due to Coronavirus this evening,” a family member said after confirmation of his death by doctors.
Fazal Agha who belongs to Jamiat Ulema Islam (JUI-F) had reported Corona positive last week and quarantined in his residence in Pishin.
However, he had shifted to Agha Khan Hospital Karachi three days back after his condition deteriorated.
He started political career by joining Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz and elected member to the Senate of Pakistan. He remained Deputy Chairman Senate from 1988 to 1991.
In the second term of PML-N, government Mian Nawaz Sharif appointed him as Governor of Balochistan and he served on the post from 1997 to 1999.
Syed Fazal Agha contested provincial Assembly election in 2008 on the ticket of PML-N from Pishin but lost. However, before 2018 elections he quite PML-N and joined JUI-F and took part in the general election and elected member to the Balochistan Assembly.
He was born in Killi Huramzai of Pishin district in 1946. He body will be brought to his native village in Pishin and would be buried on Thursday.
Governor Balochistan, Justice (Retd) Amanullah Khan Yasinzai, Chief Minister Jam Kamal Khan Alyani, Speaker Balochistan Assembly Mir Abdul Qudoos Bizenjo, Deputy Speaker Provincial Assembly Sardar Babar Musakhail, provincial ministers Sardar Yar Muhammad Rind, Engineer Zamarak Khan Piralizai, former Chief Minister and Speaker Mir Jan Muhammad Khan Jamali, opposition leader Malik Sikandar Khan Advocate, President BNP-Mengal, Sardar Akhtar Jan Mengal, Nasarullah Zerey  and members of the National and Balochistan Assembly have
expressed deep sorrow and grief over the sad demise of Syed Fazal Agha.
In their separate messages, they termed the death of Fazal Agha a big
loss of the province and a gulf in the politics of Balochistan. They
said that the late leader as Governor, Senator, Deputy Chairman and
MPA always fight for the rights of the people of Balochistan
