QUETTA: Four coalmine workers, including three brothers were killed in land sliding in a coalmine in Duki area of Balochistan, on Wednesday.

QUETTA: Four coalmine workers, including three brothers were killed in land sliding in a coalmine in Duki area of Balochistan, on Wednesday.
The incident took place deep inside of the mine when miners were busy in digging coal in the mine. “Land sliding took place in the mine and all the four mine workers buried under the debris and died before reaching rescue team inside the mine,” an official of Mines department said.
Levies officials also confirmed death of four mineworkers inside the mine. Levies and Mine department officials rushed to the site soon after receiving information about the incident and started rescue operation.
“Labour and rescue workers recovered all the four bodies after five hours hectic efforts from the affected mine,” Dost Muhammad Assistant Mines Inspector said.
All the four mineworkers including three brothers belong to Muslim Bagh area of Qila Saifullah district. The bodies had shifted to the local hospital and later handed over to the heirs. The mines has been closed and an inquiry has ordered in to the incident.
