QUETTA: Chief Secretary Balochistan capt retd Fazeel Asghar on Thursday presided a meeting in order to review preventive measures against Locust attacked many districts of Balochistan including provincial capital.

“The Federal Government has declared national emergency following attack of locust gang across the country hence provincial government would utilize all resources in order to prevent locust from destroying provincial agricultural land.” Chief Secretary said.

Provincial Finance Secretary Noor ul Haq Baloch, Senior Member Board of Revenue Qamar Masood, civil and military official have attended the meeting.

The officials briefed the Chief Secretary regarding recent attacks of Locust gang in various districts of Balochistan while provincial government has already released funds in order to purchase machinery and necessary equipment.

The Chief Secretary directed authorities to submit performance report in next meeting.
