Balochistan govt launched relief activities

QUETTA: Relief activities have been launched in the areas affected by snow and rain on the directives of Chief Minister Balochistan Jam Kamal Khan. In addition to ensuring ground access to the affected areas, helicopters also providing food and other essential items to the affected people.

According to the government of Balochistan, with the improvement of the weather after the last three days, the government helicopter is used to supply food items, tents to the affected areas, as 3300kg of dried food items and small and large size tents in Dasht, Lakpas, Shaban, Kahn Mahatrzai and other adjoining areas have been provided.

PDMA is preparing more packets for the affected areas. Those items to be delivered through helicopter or road in different areas. The relief work is to be continued till all the affected families have received thee food items.

The Chief Minister directed that the relief operation, national highways and link roads be restored, by utilizing all the resources for making access to every affected area, villages. The task of restoring national highways and link roads has been accelerated.
