General elections were held in the country on July 24, 2018. As a result of the elections, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf carried the day with flying colors not only in federal but also in Punjab and KPK.

However, Imran khan became the Prime Minister of Pakistan after 22 years of persistent struggles. Indeed, no one can deny the fact that Imran khan was the only ray of hope for the people of Pakistan. As, everyone was expecting that Imran khan would run the country smoothly and provide the legitimate rights of the masses.

On the other hand, it was expected that he would take some consolidated steps against the prolonged issues such as, corruption, unemployment and inflation which are beefing up in the land of pure by leaps and bounds. But unfortunately, he failed to address these mentioned issues. Instead of curbing these emerging issues and providing due rights, he put the masses in trouble, resulting that inflation, unemployment, corruption are at their peak in the country. The hike of price is touching the sky, and people are worried about three times of food due to high inflation.

Whereas, the jobless youths were looking forward to availing job opportunities, they have been dragged away from them since Imran Khan was elected as prime minister. But the speech of Imran Khan in a meeting in Quetta had made everyone shocked where he was reported as said, “The youths should not wait for jobs and initiate your own business instead of waiting for governmental jobs.”

It is crystal clear that the earlier speeches of Imran Khan were limited in words. In fact, he deceived the citizens of the country. Meanwhile, Fawad Chaudary, Minister for Science and Technology, clearly stated some days ago that federal government would not provide any job to the jobless persons. He further emphasised on the youth quoting to the youths “Do not expect and wait for jobs. If we provide, job the economy of the country, would be at risk.”

Moreover, the top priority of PTI government before the elections was to provide jobs and eradicate corruption but all in vain. No doubt, it is a matter of utmost concern, and people have voted for Imran Khan and brought him on the seat of premiers in order to reduce their heavy burdens. In spite of that, he increased the burdens as the price of petrol, electricity bill, gas, and many others have reached out of the approach of the people.

Most importantly, scholarships and laptop scheme which were being provided to the students by previous governments, have been closed by PTI government.Even these are the part and parcel and it is the prime responsibility of government to provide scholarships to the deserving students so that they could continue their higher education, but it saddens to see the performance of incumbent government. The current government should pay heed on these all, and provide scholarships to the needy students so as to maintain quality education in the country. It can directly help the economy of the state to boost up so fast and bring welfare for the people as well.

Finally, it can be said that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s government have failed to run the country in a dignified way and put every individual in trouble.

It is very obvious that everyone tries to come to power for his own motto, not to serve the nation. Similarly, Mr. Khan, like the other politicians, has not succeeded to stand on his said promises. He has to give priority to the interests of people and their welfare more than anything else.
