QUETTA: Balochistan Cricket Team Head Coach Arshad Khan has announced names of 20 players of first eleven of Balochistan for Quaid-e-Azam Cricket Trophy that include four players from Balochistan.

QUETTA: Balochistan Cricket Team Head Coach Arshad Khan has announced names of 20 players of first eleven of Balochistan for Quaid-e-Azam Cricket Trophy that include four players from Balochistan.
These 20 players will represent Balochistan in the trophy the Arshad Khan the Head Coach of the team announced the names of the players while speaking at a Press Conference here on Thursday.
“In the last 70 years not a single cricket player was inducted in Pakistan cricket team,” he said, adding that it is a matter of great concern for Pakistan Cricket Board “why talented players of Balochistan could not succeed to elevate them to the national and international level.”
Mr. Khan said that PBC after thorough consideration and consultation finally succeed to evolve a comprehensive strategy and now PCB has started to utilize the talent of Balochistan from grass root level.
Head Coach of Balochistan Cricket team further said by the strategy of PCB is to provide maximum possible opportunities to the cricket players of Balochistan in under-16, under -19 and also at domestic level cricket as well.
“Those players who succeed to perform better in Quaid e Azam Cricket Trophy will surely get a chance for upcoming Cricket Series with Australian Team. Best players will also be included in Pakistan Super League” Arshad Khan said.
Arshad Khan further informed that it will be the priority of the Pakistan Cricket Board to select 60 to 70 per cent players from local level from Balochistan and to provide them chance to represent
Balochistan at domestic level. Players of Balochistan will also get chances to represent Pakistan in Test Cricket as well.
Replying to a question Head Coach of Pakistan Cricket Team said Pakistan T – 20 Cricket Cup will start from October 13. Four Players from Balochistan will represent the province in the T -20 Cricket cup.
Talking about T-20 Quaid-e-Azam Pakistan Cup, Arshad Khan said that Haris Sohail will lead the First Eleven of Balochistan Team. Four local players of Balochistan include Bismillah Khan, Timor Khan, Shahbaz Khan and Muhammad Asghar. The other players include Yasir Shah, Umar Gull, Ammad Butt, Imran Farhat, Awais Shah, Imam-ul-Haq, Irmarn Butt, Shahbaz Khan, Hussain Talat, Aqib Javed, Ali Shafiq and Muhammad Talha.
Arshad Khan said Akbar Rehman will lead the 2nd Eleven of Balochistan squad. Names of other players for second eleven are Azam Ghumman, Dawood Khan, Abu-Bakr, Asif Zakir, Fahad Iqbal, Timor Ali, Gulzar, Nayyar Abbas, Khurram Shehzad and Taj Wali.
