QUETTA: Government of Balochistan has adopted tight security measures for Ashoura procession today, all shops and markets have been sealed at procession routes.

QUETTA: Government of Balochistan has adopted tight security measures for Ashoura procession today, all shops and markets have been sealed at procession routes.

More than 5000 policemen have been deployed for Ashoura security with additional troops of Frontier Corps and Balochistan Constabulary. Three battalions of Pak Army would be on stand-by in order to avert any untoward situation across Balochistan.

Government has announced to suspend mobile services in seven districts of Balochistan during 10th Muharram processions while Ashoura procession in Quetta would be monitored through helicopter.

The Ashoura procession led by President Balochistan Shia Conference Syed Dawood Agha would commenced from Imam Bargah Nasirabad Alamdar Road at 08:00am and would be ended till 6:00pm after marching on Liaquat Bazar, Bacha Khan Chowk, Prince Road, McConghy Road and Abdul Sattar Road.

Balochistan Police has established control room at IG Office while streets leading toward Ashoura procession have been blocked by parked trucks.
