CHAGAI: Pak Iran authorities decided to provide special facilities and services to pilgrims during Muharram and Chehlum on both sides of mutual border at Taftan and Mir Jawa.

CHAGAI: Pak Iran authorities decided to provide special facilities and services to pilgrims during Muharram and Chehlum on both sides of mutual border at Taftan and Mir Jawa.

According to sources this was decided during a joint meeting held at FC officers mess in Taftan. Assistant Commissioner Dalbandin Habib Nasir led the Pakistani delegation while Iranian delegation was represented by Marzaban of Mir Jawa Colonel Haider Mureedi.

Both officials decided to establish special counters during Muharram and Chehlum on both borders and make separate passages for Pilgrims to facilitate them in a better way.

The meeting also decided to nominate focal persons from both sides and control the flow of traffic from Quetta to Taftan and Mir Jawa to Zahedan in order to maintain the immigration. It was also decided that a follow up meeting would be held on upcoming month.
