QUETTA: Former Chief Minister and Chief of Sarawan Nawab Aslam Raisani has resumed his studies at the age of 64 taking admission in University of Balochistan to complete his MPhil degree in Philosophy.

“Our beloved Prophet Muhammad PBUH said, continue your studies whether you have to go China thus I believe education doesn’t requires any age and I was fond of learning.” Nawab Aslam Raisani said while talking to a Saudi news agency on Wednesday added my passion toward studies forced me resume my studies.

He added, I seek to start research on political history of his native town and Balochistan and after obtaining MPhil degree he would go for PHD,

“I completed my masters in Political Science from University of Balochistan back in 1989 but I took admission in University of Balochistan after 30 years, though I can research from books but I need a pure educational environment where I could get help from other student fellows.”

Nawab Aslam Raisani is being elected as MPA from his native District Mastung and considered as an important figure in Balochistan’s Politics. He served as Chief Minister Balochistan from 2008 to 2013 during Pakistan People’s Party regime.

He faced media trial over his statement in favor of fake degree holders but later on clarified that it was miss-judged by media.

“I was a good football player but now I am not able to play therefore I decided to start research on some specific topics related to Balochistan.” Nawab Raisani said added I want to request all parents that educate your children not for jobs but for making them a better human being.

After scrutinizing the educational documents of Nawab Raisani, the University Administration has accepted his application and said over absenteeism the admission of Nawab Raisani and other students would be cancelled.
