QUETTA: The Balochistan Home Minister, Mir Ziaullah Langove has said that the provincial government was paying Rs. 91 million to the Frontier Corps monthly for providing security in different areas of Balochistan.

QUETTA: The Balochistan Home Minister, Mir Ziaullah Langove has said that the provincial government was paying Rs. 91 million to the Frontier Corps monthly for providing security in different areas of Balochistan.

He stated this during question hours in the Balochistan Assembly session, which started on Thursday evening. Deputy Speaker Sardar Babar Khan Musakhel presided over the session.

He said that the FC had deployed in 2004 due to worst law and order situation in the province. Home Minister informed the house that FC has been deployed on 15 different location in Balochistan including Quetta, Ziarat, Mastung, Isplingi Road Mastung, Kachhi, Sibi and Nasirabad, Qila Abdullah, Kalat, Khuzdar, Awaran, Loralai, Barkhan, Ziarat, Kech, Gwadar, Pishin, Panjgur ,Chagai district.

He said that there are 71 Platoons and one wing has been working for maintaining and ensure law and order. The House unanimously adopted a resolution against the tragic incident of Hazarganji vegetable market blast in which 22 innocent people martyred and over 48 got injured. Resolution was moved by MPA Qadir Nayal.

While speaking on the resolution MPA from Balochistan National Party Mengal Mir Akhtar Hussain Langove said we have to stand firm against the evil of terrorism and extremism. Terrorist activities in Balochistan are really suspicious. It’s necessary to establish a separate enquiry commission to probe into the matter.

Opposition member of PKMAP Nasarullah Zerey said it has been intriguing to transfer terrorist activities towards Pashtoon areas of the province. House also offered fateha for the souls of deceased persons who martyred in Hazarganji vegetable market blast, security personals in Ormara and innocent Polio Worker at Chaman.

Leader of the House and chief minister Balochistan Jam Kamal khan informed the house “system is responsible for the catastrophe emerged after heavy rainfall and flood. Government is committed to bring reforms in every sector.

Earlier member parliament Sardar Yar Muhammad Rind, Sana Baloch, Zeenat Shahvani, Nasarullah Zairy, Mir Zahoor Buledi, Syed Fazal Agha, Bushra Rind, Shakila Naveed Dehwar, Mir Salim Khosa, Haji Nawaz Khan, Malik Naseer Shahvani, Mir Akhtar Hussain Langov and others expressed their opinions on flood disasters. Assembly session will resume on 27th of April.
