QUETTA: Professor Dr. Javed Iqbal Vice Chancellor University of Balochistan on Monday launched tree plantation drive by planting a sapling at the lawn of the UoB.

On this occasion Registrar UoB Tariq Jogezai, Treasurer Jeand Khan Jamaldeni and other faculty members were also present.

Vice Chancellor on this occasion said may Allah Almighty always keep Balochistan green and prosperous. The floras from various parts of the world be implanted in the Botanical Garden of the university, for research purpose, he added

He said a separate tube well would also be installed in the university, to provide adequate water to green fields.

He said these plantation drives would prove beneficial in changing weather conditions and reducing environmental pollution.

He said Quetta is a small city and has become highly polluted, to overcome this problem we should plant more trees in our surrounding, workplaces and along roadsides.

He said it is our national responsibility to support government in plantation campaign, for providing green and clean environment to coming generations.
