CHAGAI: An oil tanker’s driver killed and cleaner injured after militant, who was traveling with them’ opened fire on them.

The dead body and injured were shifted to Prince Fahad Hospital Dalbandin where the deceased was identified as Shah Baig Lehri and the injured as Hidayatullah Kurd.

While getting medical treatment, the injured cleaner told that the stranger was seated on their vehicle on the request of a hotel owner who asked them to drop him off at Dalbandin.

“I was sleeping when suddenly the driver who had asked me to switch off the lights when I woke up the stranger fired on me, resultantly two bullet shots hit my shoulder and then I jumped out of the tanker and rescued myself” Hidayatullah elaborated.

Meanwhile Chagai Levies Force arrested the alleged killer during a raid in Faisal Colony area of Dalbandin.

Addressing a press conference in Dalbandin Levies Station, Assistant Commissioner Dalbandin Habib Nasir told local media that the raid was conducted on a tip of under his command.

He said the alleged murderer Attaullah was a professional criminal who had committed several heinous crimes in past.

He said the district administration was doing its best to maintain law and order in Chagai district. “During recent month three murderers have been arrested soon after the incidents, we are responding quickly and the people must be sure that district administration would not spare any effort to save their lives and properties.” Mr Nasir maintained.
