QUETTA: Balochistan Levies Quetta on Monday foiled a bid of smuggling 600kg Narcotic and nabbed a suspect from Nohsar outskirts Provincial Capital.

Addressing a press conference at Levies Line Quetta, Babrak Khan Kakar Assistant Commissioner Saddar, said that on special directions of Deputy Commissioner Quetta, Levies party had conducted searches in various parts and intercepted a vehicle at Levies Check Post Nohsar.

During the search the Levies recovered 600kg high quality Chars that were concealed in different parts of the vehicle and nabbed a suspect Ali Ahmed resident of Balochistan`s district Nushki, he added.

“The suspect was trying to smuggle drugs to Quetta from Nushki and over a timely operation Levies foiled the attempt” AC said adding that crime rate had decreased in B area in order to best performance of Levies.

Answering a question, he said that during the last four years Levies recovered around 600kg Chars and Opium while conducting raids in various parts of Quetta and Panjpai and apprehended five suspects.

Lauding the performance, he said that all available resources are being utilized to enhance strength of Levies and curbing the crime from area.
