QUETTA: Federal Minister for Railway Sheikh Rasheed Ahmed met Chief Minister Balochistan Jam Kamal Khan on Monday discussing Gwadar Rail link for development of Balochistan.

Federal Minister for Railway informed Chief Minister regarding the importance of Gwadar in CPEC adding without connecting Gwadar with Rail link, we can’t get benefits of CPEC, “Pakistan Railways has obtained 280 acers land in Gwadar from the provincial government to build Railway Station and Container Yards in port city.”

CM Balochistan Jam Kamal informed the Federal Minister regarding provincial government efforts to functionalize Gwadar port for the development of Pakistan and Balochistan,

“Unfortunately we remained blind from the geographic importance of Gwadar port, therefore Pakistan didn’t achieve development goals from Gwadar port as per we could have.”

Sheikh Rasheed and Jam Kamal were agreed upon the development of Gwadar adding 70% trade of CPEC passes from Gwadar.
