It has taken four years to Pakistan football federation to resume the premier league. As rightly commented by ex-Pakistan coach Tariq Lutfi that once football league is restarted there will be a lot of football to watch he believe Pakistan has sufficient talent to compete top Asian teams.

Meanwhile Pakistan premier league has started from 25 September to onward, a lot of competitive matches have been playing between top plight of Pakistan .

Last year Pakistan premier league champions K-Electric has to defend its title, Multan has been chosen to hold first phase of premier league matches because the venue has been hub of football and produced many talented player whom represented national team umpteen time.

Premier league champion has drawn its two matches against PFF cup winner Pakistan Airforce and Afghan Club Chaman despite having dominated the game but could not beaten them beside participant Pakistan Army, Pakistan Air Force , KRL, SSGC are genuine title contender of 2018-19 league. Above mentioned teams have held their training camp in various cities of Pakistan to prepare themselves for this competitive league.

KE has honor of having one foreigner player to play top plight tournament of Pakistan. Remember there had been drought season between 2014 to 2017 but president of Pakistan football federation did not lost the hope to leave soccer at the mercy of his rivals. His group has won the election of Punjab football Association which helped him to run Pakistan football federation regime again.

He has been running PFF as president from more than a decade before him National team did not have facilities as now the team has to go to play friendly matches in Bahrain and player segment have confident in his regime.

Pakistan national team participated in Asian Games which was held in Indonesia, national team overcame Nepal by 2-1 and played SAFF cup in Bangladesh where they were beaten by arch rival India by 3-1 and secured third position.

Indeed Pakistan have massive talent but need to be groomed to make them competitive to play against world cup qualifiers but in meagre amount they could not compete top plight team of world.

There  has been suggestion from ex national players and coaches we need to send player abroad to get trained from top class trainer.

It is very necessary to build new stadiums where international matches can be held, right now Pakistan has only two international level stadium where Safe game and SAFF cup matches were held respectively in Peoples Paly Stadium Karachi and Jinah Stadium Islamabad. Both have potential as well capacity to held international matches but unfortunately country has been engulfed terrorism related incident though foreign team are reluctant to visit Pakistan.

Resumption of league has opened the door of employment for soccer player whom has been playing in their local clubs. Player segment belongs to lower middle class therefore  soccer is a sole source for them to get employment in key government and semi government institutions.

Lets hope good days are ahead for Pakistan football and its players the nation has been impatient to watch their national soccer team play in world cup but it has been distance dream till above mentioned suggestion are not implemented by PFF.
