QUETTA: Aftermath closure of Pak-Afghan border at Chaman since March 2nd, this year, the security officials of Pakistan and Afghanistan held talks on Friday at Friendship gate, to discuss possible reopening of border.

QUETTA: Aftermath closure of Pak-Afghan border at Chaman since March 2nd, this year, the security officials of Pakistan and Afghanistan held talks on Friday at Friendship gate, to discuss possible reopening of border.
The meeting at border, was attended by the representatives of the both countries, as business community of Afghanistan was also present on the occasion.
The officials of both sides reviewed the matters of mutual interests, including the resuming of border for movement, commercial activities. Border security issues were also discussed at the meeting.
The reopening of commercial movement at border will be decided in forthcoming meeting of National Security Committee, the meeting was told by Pakistani officials, while restoring pedestrian movement at border was also reviewed during the meeting.
The Pakistan on last Month had closed its borders including Zero-Point Taftan, Torkhum border and Friendship gate at Chaman, amid situation had surfaced across worldwide after outbreak of novel coronavirus (COVID-19). The trading activities at the border, is completely suspended, since the closure of border, for precautionary measure.
