QUETTA: Central Leader of Balochistan National Party Mengal and former Senator Nawabzada Haji Lashkari Raisani strongly condemned torture on protesting doctors in Quetta adding the incident would trigger new turmoil in Balochistan despite soaring COVID19 cases in the province.

“Unfortunately Chief Minister Balochistan unable to run provincial affairs and seek to run the province through stick rather than negotiations.” Lashkari Raisani said in a statement on Monday.

He expressed full solidarity with protesting doctors who were manhandled and arrested by police while protesting for safety gears and PPE kits in order to treat Novel Coronavirus patients in Quetta.

“The non-political and selected rulers in Balochistan completely foiled in protecting people of Balochistan from global pandemic of COVID19 hence rather than healing public woes, they believe in silencing them through force.” Nawabzada Haji Lashkari Raisani added.

“Ironically our doctors have been collecting donations in order to purchase safety kits but provincial government attempting to escape through its responsibilities by paying them mere guard of honor.”

Lashkari Raisani further predicted a new health turmoil in Balochistan following police torture on protesting doctors urged government to release arrested doctors and ensure provision of safety equipment to doctors performing duties in isolation wards.
