ISLAMABAD: A meeting of National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC) was held in Islamabad on Monday with Minister for Planning Asad Umer in the chair.

ISLAMABAD: A meeting of National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC) was held in Islamabad on Monday with Minister for Planning Asad Umer in the chair.

The meeting reviewed present situation on new Coronavirus cases in the country, efforts for containment and preparations for future.

The meeting was informed that efforts are at hand to procure additional ventilators along with indigenous production.

During the briefing, the meeting was informed that 3844 ventilators were available in the country out of which 47 are available in Islamabad, 47 in Balochistan, 400 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 1697 in Punjab, 1550 in Sindh, 63 in and 13 in Gilgit Baltistan.

Managing Director Utility Stores briefed the meeting that sufficient provision of essential commodities is being ensured during lockdown situation.

Asad Umer instructed the Ministry of Energy to ensure accelerating supply of fuel to various part of Balochistan, particularly its border areas, where fuel supply may have been affected by the border situation.
