QUETTA: Secretary Secondary Education Muhammad Tayyab Lehri has said that DEOs of all districts should play their role in the development of education in the respective districts while ensuring their attendance at their posts.

QUETTA: Secretary Secondary Education Muhammad Tayyab Lehri has said that DEOs of all districts should play their role in the development of education in the respective districts while ensuring their attendance at their posts.

“News of the absence of officers in some districts is worrying. Action will be taken against the non-existent officers. Submit a report after takeover charge, ensuring timely completion of ongoing schemes in educational institutions in all districts,” Secretary Secondary Education said while addressing DEOs conference.

Tayyab Lehri said that the DEOs should report the completion of the PSDP schemes to the respective construction firms only after complete satisfaction and visits to the schools. The relevant DEOs shall be responsible for the receipt issued to any firm or department for incomplete projects.

Secretary Secondary Education said that the closed and inactive schools are ensured to be fully functioning. He directed the District Education Officers to submit details of all the closed and inactive schools and said that departmental action will be taken against them.

The Secretary Education urged all DEOs to identify Bogus and absent teachers in their respective districts. “There is no room in the department for those who are neglecting duties,”. Mohammad Tayyab Lehri said and added that a detailed report can be submitted regarding the format specific cases in this regard, as a concrete and comprehensive strategy is adopted to tackle retirement cases as soon as possible.

He directed all divisional directors and DEOs to utilize all the resources for implementation of a plan to provide safe drinking water, washrooms, sanitation and other basic facilities in educational institutions.

“The BEMIS record of the schools should be completed immediately and the report should be sent as soon as possible,” Secretary directed.
