QUETTA: Central leader of Balochistan National Party Nawabzada Haji Mir Lashkari Khan Raisani congratulated Balochistan’s senior journalist Shahzada Zulfiqar Ahmadzai on being elected president of Pakistan Federal Union of Journalists.
In a statement, Nawabzada Haji Mir Lashkari Khan Raisani has expressed his hopes that newly elected cabinet will play its part in ending unannounced censorship at Balochistan’s media.
“Shahzada Zulfiqar has been elected president of the PFUJ from the province at a time when the media is in control of people with a particular agenda. Balochistan is being severely neglected in the main stream media, to keep the issue in dark,” Lashkari Raisani said.
A specific agenda is being perused by the TV channels, which is causing social, economic, political and national downfall.
He said that the son soil, Shahzada Zulfiqar Ahmadzai is a mature journalist, as hopes are that he and his cabinet will utilize their full potential to eliminate unlawful media restrictions in Balochistan.
Nawabzada Lashkari Raisani has also expressed his good wishes for the success of senior journalist Saleem Shahid and Essa Tareen who were also elected from Balochistan in the PFUJ elections.
