QUETTA: The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has commenced accountability drive across the country which has been yielding positive results while NAB ordinance playing an effective role in war against menace of corruption. Amanullah Yasinzai added.

He shared these views on Monday while addressing a World Anti-Corruption Day conducted by NAB Balochistan at Governor House Quetta.

“In order to build an honest society, there was need to segregate corrupt people from the society, because the menace of corruption has halted country’s progress.” Governor Balochistan Amanullah Khan Yasinzai added.

He lamented over dilapidated plight of education and health sectors in Balochistan added despite availability of medicines in government hospitals, the doctors and staff unable to give them medicines and referring them in private medicals.

“Hundreds of government schools being run without facilities including washrooms and classes which indicates element of corruption in the society.”

He also stressed an effective check and balance in the society in order to discourage corruption added fortunately we have many educated students and individuals who can contribute their expertise in eradication of corruption.

Addressing the ceremony Director General NAB Balochistan Farmanullah Khan has urged public cooperation in wiping-out corruption from Pakistan and Balochistan added National Accountability Bureau running accountability drive with neutrality and without facing any pressure,

“Accountability has become necessary for Pakistan as NAB and Federation have vowed to turn Pakistan as corruption Free State.” DG NAB said added week system remained key cause of provincial deprivation.

Talking on illegal housing society in the provincial capital he said, NAB has been reviewing cases of illegal housing schemes and action would be taken against all property dealers looting innocent citizens.

He also expressed satisfaction over Pakistan’s jumping number in Transparency International List added now we have jumped at 117 numbers from 180,

“National Accountability Bureau has been pursuing zero-tolerance against corruption in Balochistan and corrupt mafia wouldn’t be spared at any cost.” Farmanullah Khan added.
