QUETTA: Divisional bench of Balochistan High Court consists of Justice Muhammad Hashim Khan Kakar and Justice Rozi Khan Barrach heard petition regarding a raid on house of Qazi Kalat by the Assistant Commissioner of Kalat Sultan Ahmed.
Divisional bench convicted Assistant Commissioner Kalat Sultan Ahmed under Article 4 of the contempt of court ordinance and fined Rs. Five thousands and sentence till the adjournment of court proceedings on violation of the judicial rules and negligence of duty.
On the non-payment of fine by the Assistant Commissioner, he will be sentenced to 15 more days in prison.
While giving remarks on the Report of the Investigation Commission, Court advised that administration should follow certain guidelines for preventing such incidents or actions in future and issued orders to the district administration to ensure their compliance with these principles.
The Hon’ble Bench also directed to send a copy of the decision to the Chief Secretary Balochistan and to send the report of implementation of the decision to the Registrar Balochistan High Court within seven days.
