ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) has on Friday sought time from the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) to provide details of backers in party funding case.

PML-N leader Mohsin Shahnawaz Ranjha and counsel Jahangir Jadoon appeared before the ECP and took the stance that no company is registered in name of PML-N in America, however, did not respond to the question regarding ownership of a company in England.

PML-N said it has already provided all details of party accounts in Pakistan to the ECP, and sought time to submit Computerized National Identity Card (CNIC) details of benefactors who give fund to the party.

The next session of ECP scrutiny committee regarding the PML-N party funding case will be held on December 3. Parliamentary Secretary for Railways Farrukh Habib – the petitioner – talked to media after the hearing and said PML-N is trying to escape after submitting reply on a single piece of paper.
