QUETTA: The Central Secretary General and Senator of Jamiat Ullma-e-Islam Maulana Abdul Ghafoor Haideri has said that 2020 is the year of Imran Khan’s replacement, the results of what have been achieved in Azadi March will start to unfold in a while.

QUETTA: The Central Secretary General and Senator of Jamiat Ullma-e-Islam Maulana Abdul Ghafoor Haideri has said that 2020 is the year of Imran Khan’s replacement, the results of what have been achieved in Azadi March will start to unfold in a while.

“Pakistan People’s Party and the Muslim League (N) are part of the opposition, if they have gained from Azadi March, it won’t bother us,” Maulana Abdul Ghafoor Haideri said while addressing participants of sit-in, who had blocked Quetta Chaman Highway in the Qila Abdullah.

Deputy Salaar of the Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam Haji Abdullah Khalji, member of the Central Supreme Council Haji Shaukat Khan Tareen, former caretaker minister Hafiz Khalil Ahmed and others also addressed on the occasion.

Senator Maulana Abdul Ghafoor Haidari said Azadi March is not a sit-in but a movement for constitutional rule, stability of democracy, improvement of economy and fair election in the country. Addressing the participants of the sit-in, Haideri said that the opposition parties on the call of Jamaat-e-Islami became part of the Azadi March, “We had told the first day that we were going to mobilize the people against the government, a lot has been achieved since Azadi March, of which many things are already visible.

He said, “People who claimed that we are a handful of people, and have seen in Islamabad that Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam is the greatest religious political force”. Maulana Abdul Ghafoor Haideri said that many accused us that we will create anarchy, but from Balochistan, Sindh, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Punjab to Islamabad not even a single flowerpot was broken. “We have set an example of maintaining law and order,” said Maulana Abdul Ghafoor Haideri.

He said that PML N and PPP have also benefited for Azadi March. If they have benefited, it won’t bother as they are also our allies. “Our gain from the Azadi March will benefit whole nation. We have started a movement from a national point of view, which is for the sake of security and well-being of our people.

He said that Azadi march movement is against the rigging, inflation, economic decline, reduction of the value of rupees. He said that currently his party is implementing Plan B. The next phase will be decided by the core committee which will be held in Islamabad after attending sit-in of Khuzdar, Karachi.

He claimed that 2020 is the year of Imran Khan’s change, with hidden things unfolding in a few days,  JUI is striving for the strengthening of the Constitution, fair and interference-free elections, stability of democracy, improvement of the economy.
“We want to address the unprecedented rigging of 2018 and we hope that the positive effects of our struggle will soon will appear,” Senator Haideri said.
