QUETTA: Chief Minister Balochistan Jam Kamal Khan Aliyani on Monday addressed the participants of 21st National Security Workshop here in Quetta added Balochistan has been pushed on development track.

QUETTA: Chief Minister Balochistan Jam Kamal Khan Aliyani on Monday addressed the participants of 21st National Security Workshop here in Quetta added Balochistan has been pushed on development track.

“Fortunately Balochistan is blessed with rich mineral resources and sprawling landscape while province has many investment opportunities in coastal, minerals, agriculture and livestock sectors.” Jam Kamal said added provincial government taking earnest measures to uplift provincial economy.

He added, there was a lack of governance in Balochistan which led to law and order, corruption and economic issues in the province, “Economic and business activities were stalled due to terrorism and sectarian violence but current government working on new reforms to enhance capabilities of all departments and good governance.”

“In order to educate children, provincial government has been earnestly focusing on educational structure while teachers being imparted training for a brighter future of Balochistan.”

Talking on health development program in the province CM Balochistan said, BHUs and RHUs have been fully functionalized across the province while rescue 1122 service being commenced in Balochistan in order to provide speedy rescue and emergency services,

“18 Trauma Centres being established at National Highways to rescue human lives during accidents while Health Care Commission bill going to be approved by provincial cabinet.”

However, informing the participants regarding agricultural development plans Chief Minister said, the sprawling landscape of Balochistan is conducive for agricultural and livestock development hence we have been keenly focusing on these sectors,

“By developing tourism sector, we would be able to highlight a shiny picture of Balochistan at international level thus 750km coastal strip of the province could foster tourism in the province.”

Talking on declining water level in Balochistan Jam Kamal said, government has been constructing new dams in order to meet water needs of masses while Kachi Canal project would impart water to 7 lakh acers land in the province.

“We have credit to unveil province’s first mineral policy in order to uplift provincial economy through its natural wealth.”

The participants of security workshop asked various question regarding provincial development and law and order on which Jam Kamal replied comprehensively.
