QUETTA: Shutter down strike, boycott of courts on the call of All Parties and Trader unions against action of Assistant Commissioner Duki.
All parties and Union Traders called complete shutter down strike in Duki, while lawyers observed strike in Courts to protest against alleged attack of Assistant Commissioner of Duki Meran Baloch. Assistant Commissioner Duki allegedly attacked participants of a sit-in, who were protesting against a built wall at Main Chowk of Zaman road, when they were charged by the AC Dukki, while levies force open Arial fire. Protestors claim that five people were inj ured during the charge of levies.
Later a complete shutter down was called, as medical stores, butcher shops and other business places were closed and city remained shut.
District Bar Association of Dukki also called for a strike from court and observed black day against the incident.  People had to suffer due to adjournment of cases without hearing.
While condemning the incident, president District Bar Association Nawab Khan Tareen Advocate and others said that any unlawful act will be protested at every forum.
All Parties and Trader Unions have demanded that Deputy Commissioner and Assistant Commissioner shall be transferred and a judicial inquiry to be held, while an FIR to be lodged on behalf of five injured leaders against DC and AC Duki.
