With a strong introduction stating that ‘Winners don’t do different things. They do things differently’ the author instantaneously puts the reader at the beginning of the road to success.

The book by the Indian author and activist Shiv Khera ‘You can win’ is truly a masterpiece which motivates the people, in any regard, to keep a positive-thinking attitude to be the winners. One will not feel bored to read the book since we can find some entertaining examples related to our daily life within the collection.
One of the best points mentioned in the book is, human beings always say that they will do the things the coming day. Why do not they do them today? And why not at the time of speaking? And when tomorrow comes, they say again the next day. Similarly, minutes and hours convert into days and then months, and years and life gets over, but the action said to be done was never brought into practical shape.
As a result, Shiv suggests that the best occasion for doing an action which is thought to be done is the time one thinks of it. If the thought has clicked your mind, so what else would be the best moment than exactly the very moment! So, never miss the opportunities of present by leaving them on a day you have never known about. Because every day is a new tomorrow and a new opportunity.
Furthermore, one more point attracted me the most in the book which is the ‘focus system’. Whatever we focus the most, we get that the soonest.
If our focus is on positive things then we get positive results, no matter if the things are wrong. In the same way, if we think negatively, we get the negative impacts on us. Therefore, it is always the best option to think of positive things which is in either way beneficial for you.
Besides this, there were some unique examples in the book which proved that how our attitudes to unalike circumstances affect us. So, whenever you want a good feedback, neglect the negative ones and always look for the positive aspects, because that is the point where one starts getting to success.
Now, for being safe from negative focus, we need to avoid external influences on us. For example drugs, wine, cigarettes and even bad people. They are the causes which compel us to think negativity in our daily life.
I personally experienced a lot of students stating that they take or smoke cigarettes in order to control their focus from bad things and get more focussed on their study. But how can something, which has a bad influence on the health of individuals, let one to keep their minds focussed? Quite a tough philosophy it is made by our young students. To me, it is because of the environment those students are in. If they sit with positive people, they will adopt positive habits and if they choose negative people then surely they will get negative influences on their lives.
In another chapter, the writer clarifies that we mostly fail because of not setting a particular goal earlier. We become lost in our own thoughts and life finishes. Setting a goal as soon as possible is also counted in successful people’s lives. So, start your mission of setting your desired goal today and work on it.
Moreover, the book is very interesting because of the beautiful examples of Shiv with the readers on various topics. One of the examples touched my heart which I like to mention.
“One day a man was washing his car. His neighbor came and said, ” Wow! What a car.”he replied, “my brother has gifted the car to me. The neighbor said ,”I wish I were in place of you, so I would get this car.” The man replied, “You should wish that you would have a brother like mine.” His wife was listening to the two and said, “I wish I were the brother who gifted you the car.”
This example touched the soul within me. In this example, the positive thinking of the man’s wife was much better than the other thoughts of the man and the neighbor.
We always try to be the ones who are taking, why don’t we become the givers? This philosophy is known as ‘sharing is caring’. It can be explained as the more you share with others, the more you get from others back. In the contemporary, the less you share, the lesser you get back.
Besides conveying the messages of positive thinking, one can also witness the evaluation of Shiv Khera in the book.
For instance, whenever a chapter is completed, there is a workshop page through which the readers are asked some questions related to the chapter and the readers need to write their answers in the book. This improves one to find out his/her goals if not searched already and get interacted with the writer.
Finally, the book was heart-touching which improved my behavior a lot. It is such a book which can convert a negative thought into a positive one, a negative person into a positive person, a demotivated person into a motivated one, a person with a low self-esteem into an encouraging person and many more.
After reading this book I have come to know about the real sense of positivity and negativity: now I can easily differentiate between the two. All we need to do is to be honest in any regard of our life with ourselves and others.
I suggest all of the readers not to miss the bright opportunity of reading one of the best collections of Shiv. You will surely feel the change in you once you hold it for studying.
