QUETTA: The National Party on Sunday expressed its full outrage over University of Balochistan’s video scandal by staging rallies and protests across the province demanding strict punishment against UoB’s staff involved in blackmailing and harassing students.

The nationalist party staged protest in Quetta, Panjgur, Turbat, Gawadar, Naushki, Chaghi, Kharan, Lasbela, Hub, Mastung Kalat and Bolan called the scam as worst scandal in history of Balochistan.

“The issue can’t be resolved by suspension of former Vice-Chancellor because the whole staff alleged to be involved in sexually harassing and blackmailing students particularly females.” Secretary General NP Jan Muhammad Buledi said while addressing the protesters.

Accompanied with senior leadership of NP former Minister Rehmat Saleh Baloch, Dr. Ishaq Baloch, Shama Ishaq, Atta Muhammad Bangulzai, Abdul Samad Rind and others Buledi demanded strict action against whoever brought shame for the whole province,

“The whole staff of Ex-VC Professor Dr. Javed Iqbal should be dismissed as Federal Investigation Agency completes its probe over the video scandal.” Jan Buledi added.

The National Party expressed irk over silence of provincial government over the video scam slammed government for fighting over chairmanship of the parliamentary committee set to prob the university scandal,

“Government’s non-serious attitude toward the issue would turn the situation more complicated hence instead of further delay government should go with actions.” Jan Buledi said.

Talking on recent surface allegation against former VC the NP said, recent revelations regarding VC’s suspension following sexually harassing a foreign teachers back in 1992 are enough evidence to suspend him because without his permission no one was able to install secret cameras in UoB including its bathrooms,

“The scam triggered an outrage in Balochistan and Pakistan but government sitting silent over the issue.” NP said alleged a national party leader that he met with former VC for appointments of his people.
