QUETTA: Chief Minister Balochistan Jam Kamal Khan Aliyani on Tuesday met with European Union’s operation delegation led by its chairman Mr. Milko Van Gool here in Quetta discussed EU’s support in provincial development.

The delegation assured CM Balochistan that European Union seek to assist provincial government in livestock, agriculture and horticulture sectors while the meeting was agreed to enhance cooperation in various fields.

Jam Kamal informed the delegation that government of Balochistan has been digitalizing provincial livestock and agriculture sectors added government has been working in development schemes with less use of water,

“Progress underway on a mechanism to flourish flower nurseries in Ziarat in Quetta that would uplift provincial economy,”

Taking on provincial livestock sector Jam Kamal told the EU’s delegation that provincial government conducting Livestock festival in November in order to enhance province’s organic meet industry and inform farmers regarding food and vaccine for their animals.

Lauding the initiatives being lifted by provincial government the EU’s operation delegation pledged to continue support for provincial government.

CM Balochistan added, we need EU’s support in shifting provincial energy need on solar system.

Chief Minister further added that Government of Balochistan also informed the government has been planning to organize First Livestock Expo in Balochistan in the next month of this year. Basic purpose behind the Livestock Expo is to increase production of Halal meat and to enhance our Revenue.

“Through a very comprehensive strategy entire focus of present government of Balochistan is towards power generation through Solar Based Technology. Huge land mass and weather of Balochistan is very much suitable for power generation by Solar Based Technology. In this regard European Union can also provide assistance for the collective development and progress of Balochistan Province” Jam Kamal Khan said.

President of European Union Cooperation Mr. Milko Van G assured the Chief Minister Balochistan that European Union can provide assistance in Dairy Farming, Livestock, and Horticulture and Agriculture sectors.
