QUETTA: Spokesman to Government of Balochistan Liaquat Shahwani has said, Chief Minister Balochistan and his whole cabinet congratulated Balochistan’s son International Boxer Waseem over his recent victory against Philippine boxer added Waseem would be given official protocol during his return to Quetta from Islamabad.

“Representatives of Balochistan Government and Provincial Ministers would welcome him at Quetta International Airport because the son of our soil has been lighting the name of Pakistan and Balochistan at global level.” Shahwani said added an official ceremony would be held at Chief Minister Secretaries in honor of Boxer Waseem

Waseem didn’t receive any welcome from provincial government when he returned to Quetta after knocking-out Philippine boxer at his International fight and reached home on a private cab.

His unsweetened welcome sparked an outrage on social media but later he was called by Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa who lauded Waseem over his unbeatable performance.

After arriving to Pakistan Waseem has named his victory on the name of Kashmir People vowed to continue lighting Pakistan’s name in International fights.

Liaquat Shahwani has said, Government of Balochistan won’t let Waseem and other sportsmen shining province’s name, “Provincial Government would honor Waseem at government level and we would continue his support.”
