During recent months 43 fresh dengue cases surfaced in District Lasbela among 14 have been tested positive.

“Dengue patients are being provided medicalcare at Jam Ghulam Qadir Hospital while health teams have reached in dengue hit Lasbela district.” Secretary and DG Health said while addressing a meeting in Quetta on Friday.

Balochistan has been plagued with fatal dengue virus during 2019 while 1725 dengue case had been reported in province’s Kech district but in June health teams have countered the virus from further spread.

The meeting was informed that special wards have been established in Quetta’s Fatima Jinnah TV and Chest Hospital, Meer Jam Ghulam Qadir Hospital Lasbela and District Hospital Turbat.

“Following the outbreak of dengue in Lasbela, medical teams headed by Dr. Bashir Ahmed reached in dengue hit areas, provincial government would never compromise on provision of quality health facilities to masses.” Secretary Health Hafiz Abdul Majid and DG Health Dr, Kamalan Gichki said vowed to wipe-out dengue virus from Balochistan.

They claimed that spray being splashed in various districts in order to prevent dengue virus, “Government has been utilizing all resources to control dengue virus but masses should make sure safe precautions toward dengue virus.”
