QUETTA: Commander Southern Command Lieutenant General Asim Saleem Bajwa has said that Jawans of Balochistan Police are the assets of Balochistan and Quetta, who have given the most sacrifices against terrorism, in maintaining law and order and safeguarding lives of citizens, These sacrifices has insured that economic activities are back on track in Balochistan.
“Balochistan and Pakistan is on the track of prosperity, we stand together to defeat enemies”, Core commander Lt Gen Asim Saleem Bajwa addressed during a sendoff lunch in Quetta on Friday.
Chief Secretary Balochistan Capt (R) Fazeel Asghar Additional Chief Secretary (Home) Hyder Ali, IG FC North Syed Fayyaz Hussian Shah, IG FC South Major General Saeed Ahmed Nagra, IG Police Mohsin Hassan Butt and other officials attended the ceremony.
He further said that 630 KM fencing on the border of Afghanistan and 30 KM on the border of Iran has been completed in a short span of time. The war against terrorism is won because of the bravery of Jawans.
“Attending last official ceremony with Balochistan Police while serving in Army”, Lt Gen Bajwa said.
He said that Balochistan Police became a target in war against terrorism but Police jawans bravely fought to end terrorism. Officers are Balochistan Police are serving globally. Upon arrival made comprehensive strategy with senior officers to cope terrorism and succeeded.
He expressed his hopes of ending terrorism from the land by standing together and making collective efforts.
He credited Police officers for the law and order and said that Police is contributing with other forces in insuring stability in the region. Balochistan Police is highly skilled and performs duties at peace missions.
“We have deleted huge losses, but now our forces are ready to finish enemies”, Lt Gen Asim Saleem Bajwa.
He said that all the forces are making collective efforts, now enemies will rethink before making any terror attempt.
“Terrorism in Quetta is directly linked to across the border. Situation is gradually improving as 630 KM long fencing on Afghan border and 30 KM fencing on Iran border has been completed”, Core commander Asim Saleem Bajwa said.
Commander Southern Command expressed his pride on spending last moments of career in Quetta, saying Balochistan Police is hero for the nation, last ceremony while serving in the Army is with Balochistan Police as well.
In his speech Inspector General of Balochistan Police said that due to special training of Pakistan Army, Police is coping terrorism in the province.
“Commander Southern Command and other government institutions has made contributions in strengthening Police, which is why force is ready for any challenge”, IG Police said.
He said that Police is making efforts in collocation with other law enforcement agencies in termination of terrorism. He lauded the efforts of Commander Southern Command in supporting Balochistan Police and said that different sections of force including eagle squad has made an impact due to recent developments.
Later IG Balochistan Police presented gifts to Commander Southern Command on behalf of Police department.
