QUETTA: Thousands of people gathered in Balochistan’s major cities and elsewhere on Friday to express solidarity with the people of Indian Occupied Kashmir in response to call of Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan.

QUETTA: Thousands of people gathered in Balochistan’s major cities and elsewhere on Friday to express solidarity with the people of Indian Occupied Kashmir in response to call of Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan.

The 30-minute Kashmir solidarity hour commenced from 12 PM in which sirens were sounded across province. The national anthem of Pakistan and national anthem of Azad Jammu and Kashmir were also played, as the people and vehicles come to a standstill.

In provincial capital of Balochistan Governor and Chief Minister led a rally from Assembly to unity chowk. “Today’s message of solidarity is for Kashmir, and we are to show that Pakistan and Kashmir stands together”, Chief Minister Balochistan Jam Kamal addressed to the rally.

He said that enemies wants to create conflict between people of Pakistan, but they have failed as Pakistan as nation stands for the rights of Kashmiris. “Minorities are not safe in India, as they are being govern by a RSS and Modi. Its clear that its a government of thugs who illegally occupied Kashmir”, Jam Kamal said.

Provincial Ministers, Members of Assembly and large number of people attended the rally in Quetta. In Noshki district of Balochistan a similar rally and demonstration was held in solidarity with Kashmir and Indian suppression Commissioner Rakhsan Division Naseer Ahmed Nasir, DC Razzaq Baloch and officials attended the ceremony.

Rally was carried to Mir Gul Khan Naseer Chowk where 2 minute of silence was observed, later on slogans in favor of Kashmir and Pakistan Army were also raised. A rally was staged in Qilla Abdullah under leadership of Assistant Commissioner Jahanzaib Sheikh, which was attended by large number of people.

Assistant Commissioner Ziarat Qadir Bakhsh Pirkani led rally to express solidarity with Kashmir. It started from DC office and traveled through different streets of city and later turned into protest where slogans against India were chanted.

Hundreds of students turned on roads to show solidarity with Kashmir in Gwadar. A rally started from Girls High School as participants were holding Pakistani and Kashmiri flags.

A number of schools in Quetta held rallies peaceful walks in different areas of city to express solidarity and demanded that people of Kashmir must be given freedom.

Similar rallies were held in Balochistan’s each district where people turned in huge number to show their love and support for the people of Occupied Kashmir.
