QUETTA: At least four people have been killed and 21 wounded after a powerful explosion hit a Seminary in Kuchlak’s Killi Wazir some 59km far from the provincial capital Quetta on Friday.

QUETTA: At least four people have been killed and 21 wounded after a powerful explosion hit a Seminary in Kuchlak’s Killi Wazir some 59km far from the provincial capital Quetta on Friday.

Police confirmed than explosion kills four people in Killi Wazir of Kuchlak  the outskirts of Quetta killing four people including the prayer leader injuring 21, “The blast occurred before Friday prayers as people were gathering inside the Seminary (Madrassa)’s mosque when a time-device planted inside the seminary exploded with huge bang.” Station House Officer (SHO) Kuchlak Police Station Tanzeem Shah added.

The Seminary owned by Al Hajj Muhammad Hassani who was in Saudi Arabia for performing annual Muslim’s holiest gathering Hajj.

Rescue workers accompanied with heavy contingent of Law Enforce Agencies rushed to the spot in order to shift dead bodies and injured to Hospital. The area had been cordoned-off as Bomb Disposal (BD) teams have collected initial evidences from the crime spot.

No group has claimed responsibility of the attack but it was the 2nd blast in Quetta targeting mosques. On May 23rd three people including the prayer leader had been killed and 24 sustained injuries after an explosion occurred inside a Mosque at Quetta’s Pashtoonabad.

“We are unable to confirm that who was the target in Seminary blast but Law Enforcement Agencies have been collecting evidence from the crime scene.” SHO Tanzeem Shah added.

Hayatullah a student of Al Haj Muhammad Hassani Seminary said, I was sleeping in basement of our Madrassa when we heard a powerful explosion, “When a arrived in the mosque, I saw bodies and injured laying down on the flour calling help.”

Chief Minister Balochistan Jam Kamal Khan Aliyani has strongly condemned the blast vowed to take strict action against terrorist groups spoiling peace in Balochistan.

Police surgeon Dr. Ayesha Faiz claimed 10 to 12 patients are critical and shifted to Trauma Center Quetta but majority wounded having face and head injuries.
