CHAGAI: Renowned Political and Tribal Leader Sardarzada Mir Umair Mohammad Hassani condemned Indian move to withdraw the special status of Occupied Jammu and Kashmir through a Presidential order.

In a statement issued here on Monday, Mr Hassani termed Indian measures to further extend their illegitimate occupation on Kashmir and keep suppressing the people who have been demanding freedom and basic human rights for several decades. “Division of Kashmir after revoking article 370 and 35-A is a contradiction to UN resolutions and violations of the rules which applied upon internationally recognized disputed territories.” Mr Hassani explained.

He said after being failed to tackle the Kashmir issue for long Indian Government chose to evade human rights and global rules for their vested interests but it should be clear that nothing could stop the freedom movement of Kashmiri people and every step aiming to keep Kashmir under Indian occupation would be unsuccessful. He appealed the international community to play their role in mediating the long lasting Kashmir issue. He vowed to continue Political and diplomatic support for the people of Kashmir.
