QUETTA: A condolence reference was held in Quetta’s Boy Scouts to pay tribute to 8th August victims. Provisional ministers, leading lawyers and representations of different professions attended the reference.

QUETTA: A condolence reference was held in Quetta’s Boy Scouts to pay tribute to 8th August victims. Provisional ministers, leading lawyers and representations of different professions attended the reference.

“Most of the victims of 8th August tragedy were head of their families”, Asghar Achakzai President of Awami National Party Balochistan said during his address.

The ANP leader who had lost his own brother in the suicide attack said that if government had implemented national action plan, situation would have been different.

“The setback of attack on lawyers will haunt us for a very long time”, Asghar Achakzai said and questioned why government has challenged the judicial commission report of the incident.

Vice Chairman Pakistan Bar Council Amjad Shah Advocate said that without justice, country can not be developed. Lawyers have been fighting for the rule of law and sacrificed so much for the cause, as the mission of martyrs will continue.

“There is no other option but insuring rule of law”, Senior Lawyer Ali Ahmed Kurd addressed on the occasion.
Martyred lawyers can not be brought back but their mission shall continue, Ali Kurd grieved. He criticised current system and said that lawyers will not relax until the system is full changed.

Secretary General of National party Jan Buledi wants that political parties must put differences aside and unite to fight against terrorism.

President Supreme Court Bar Association Aman Ullah Kanrani said that 8th August attack was against the sovereignty of Pakistan. He warned that if conflicts remained enemies will succeed.

Other political leaders and senior lawyers also spoke on the occasion and paid their regards to the families of the victims and assure their support in any capacity.
