QUETTA: Chief Minister Balochistan Jam Kamal Khan Aliyani during his two days visit of Makran Division inaugurated Sur Dam to Gwadar pipeline project that would fulfill water need of Gwadar city.

QUETTA: Chief Minister Balochistan Jam Kamal Khan Aliyani during his two days visit of Makran Division inaugurated Sur Dam to Gwadar pipeline project that would fulfill water need of Gwadar city.

The project has been complete with cost of rupees four billion which would impart 5 million gallon water regularly to local population of port-city.

“Water scarcity in Gwadar would be addressed through Sur Dam to Gwadar water pipeline.” CM Jam Kamal said on Friday while addressing the inauguration ceremony.

Federal Minister Zubeda Jalal, Provincial Ministers Zahoor Buledi, Engineer Zamrak Khan Achakzai, Noor Muhamamd Dummar, Saleem Khosa and government officials were present in the inauguration ceremony.

Meanwhile CM Jam Kamal has laid down the foundation stone of Shezai Dam which would be completed in two years with estimated cost of rupees 500 million rupees.

Lauding the water schemes for Gwadar CM Balochistan said, Shezai dam would store 16000 acers feet water and maximum 5000 water would be used for agriculture need.

“Provincial Government has been laying down a net of infrastructure in Gwadar which would connect remote part of Makran Division with central Gwadar.” Jam Kamal said directed authorities to intensify progress on Shadi Kor Dam water supply project.

It was pertinent to mention here that provincial government has complete Sur Dam with total cost of one billion rupees in order to embark water supply in Gwadar city.
