QUETTA: Public accounts committee Balochistan, presided by Chairman Akhtar Hussain Langove held review meeting for the audit of Irrigation department for 2017-18.

Minister for Irrigation, Nawabzada Tariq Magsi, MPA Zabid Ali Reki, Sana Baloch, Malik Naseer Shahwani, Zamarak Achakzai and others attended the meeting.

Members of the Public Accounts Committee (PAC) discussed different points of the audit report, as Irrigation department assured that all the objections will be taken into consideration according to the law.

PAC expressed its satisfaction on audit report and stated that public interest and prosperity of the province will remain priority.
Survey is mandatory before preparing PC One, Committee tells Irrigation department officials and insisted rules and regulation are to be followed to avoid any obstacle during the work.

Chairman PAC Akhtar Hussain Langove directed officers of irrigation to monitor all the development projects to avoid any wastage of public resource. He also instructed officials to implement on raised objection.Irrigation department shall make any PC One in regards of public interest after conducting comprehensive surveys, to avoid any forced changes during the work. Chairman PAC Akhtar Langove said.

“PAC will not tolerate corruption in any government department, those are directed to complete audit in their departments must comply”, Akhtar Langove said.

Public Accounts committee also ordered Pat feeder canal Audit record in next session, insisted if any regularity found will be added to a special audit.
