KARACHI: Chairman of Pakistan Peoples Party Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has urged the concerned quarters in the country to do rebellion against the present “Puppet and selected” regime in the country in order to protect due democratic, economic, and human rights of the masses.

The PPP chairman stated this on Thursday while addressing the Jalsa here at Bagh-e-Jinnah jointly organized by the Opposition political parties to observe black-day first anniversary of 25th July, 2018 general elections.

The PPP chairman urged the Opposition political parties to wage a joint struggle against the present “Selected regime” in the country that is bent upon usurping economic and human rights of people while causing them serious hardships.

He said that economic murder of farmers, labourers, traders, youth, elders, had been taking place owing to the ineligibility and lack of aptitude of the present prime minister to rule in the country.

He said that people had been suffering badly due to phenomenal price-hike and inflation caused by the present selected regime.

He said that economic, democratic, and human rights of the masses were trampled upon whenever puppet and selected regime was installed in the country on someone else’s signal.

He said that puppet and selected regime instead of safeguarding the rights of masses, “Do dancing on the signals of the umpire”.

He said that provinces had also been suffering due to the failure of the present federal government as they were not being transferred their due fiscal share from the federal divisible pool.

The PPP chairman said that incumbent PM had no understanding of the country’s history, geography, literature, politics, democracy, parliament, morality, and ethics.

He recalled that one year back massive rigging had taken place in general elections to secure favourable poll results and install a selected regime in the country.

He enumerated that in 2018 general elections the Result Transmission System was made to crash, troops were deployed inside the polling stations, polling agents were expelled from the polling stations before completion of the vote count, forms-45 were vanished, recounting of votes was halted in some of the constituencies where the present rulers faced the prospect of poll defeat, election results of some of the constituencies were withheld, while the electoral mandate of Karachi was stolen as had happened in the past to rig the last year’s polls.

He said that despite all such unfair means used to rig the last year’s general elections the electoral results could not be manipulated and changed to such an extent that a selected regime could be imposed on the country. As later on, the independently elected lawmakers in large number were airlifted on the plane of Jahangir Tareen to Bani Gala in Islamabad to form the present government.

He said that incumbent PM in order to form his government had embraced such political parties as the coalition partners about which he had stated in the past that they were thieves and murderers.

The PPP chairman said that he would never recognize the present regime as a genuinely and democratically elected government of the country.  He said that present PM could not be considered as the elected ruler of the country as he has no regard for prestige of the country on global forums as he also lacked the authority to prepare the budget of his own government.

He expressed gratitude to the masses for gathering on the appeal of the Opposition political parties in the country to observe the black day.

He recalled that in the past all the major political parties had collectively drafted the Constitution of 1973.

He said that two major parties of the country PPP and PML-N had got united to sign the Charter of Democracy as under the 18thConstitutional Amendment was passed to restore the Constitution of 1973 in its true form and shape.

He said that no single party in the country was capable enough to get the country rid of its preset problems as that was why the Opposition parties were getting together to wage a uniform struggle for the purpose.

He said that in the present day the democratic order, parliament, politics, politicians, media, journalists, traders, labourers, and farmers, human rights in the country all were being targeted.
