QUETTA: A levies official and his brother were gunned down by unknown armed men in broad daylight in busy Shahbaz town area, on Wednesday.

Police said that levies official identified as Muhammad Saddam Badezai along with his younger brother Muhammad Zia Badezai reached Quetta in the morning for appearing in a local court in connection with a case.

Unknown armed men opened fire on them when they were passing through the Shahbaz Town area, resulting in killing them on the spot as they received multiple bullet wounds.

Police rushed to the site after the incident and shifted bodies to civil hospital for autopsy. Police said that cause of killing was an old enmity. The deceased were residence of Norak camp Gulistan.

The attackers made their good escape after killing their opponents. Further investigation was in progress. No arrest was reported in this connection so far.
