QUETTA: Levies Force and District Administration on Tuesday foiled a terror bid in district Kohlu by seizing a huge cache of arms and explosive while man injured in land mine blast in Barkhan.

According to Deputy Commissioner Kohlu Abdullah Khosa, Levis Force along with Law Enforcement Agencies launched a search operation in Mewand area of Kohlu,

“During the raid a huge cache of arms and explosive have been recovered from terrorists’ hideouts.” DC Abdullah Khosa said added no arrest was made in the operation.

“The terrorists wanted to create unrest in Balochitan by using hided arms and explosive but timely action by Levis and District Administration foiled bid to carry out terrorism in the province.” Abdullah Khosa added.

Levis Force and LEAs seized 31 hand grenades, 12 fuse of RPG, One RPG 7, 82 Mortars, 75 Mortar of MM, 83 MM Mortar Shells, 06 Anti-Tank Mines, Land Mines, Vehicle Land Mines and 1900 rounds from the compound of terrorists. “Search to hunt down the terrorists is underway in the area.” District Officials added.

Meanwhile a man has been injured in a landmine blast in Rakhni area of district Barkhan on Tuesday. According to Levis, a man riding on his bike hit a landmine laid down by unknown terrorists, “Due to the explosion the man sustained severe injuries and evacuated to DHQ Hospital for medical treatment.”

First Information Report of the Landmine blast had been registered against unknown persons.
