QUETTA: Taking notice over deficient health facilities in Civil Hospital Quetta, Chief Minister Jam Kamal Khan has directed authorities to increase health facilities for hospital and functionalize newly constructed OPD within a week.

QUETTA: Taking notice over deficient health facilities in Civil Hospital Quetta, Chief Minister Jam Kamal Khan has directed authorities to increase health facilities for hospital and functionalize newly constructed OPD within a week.

Presiding a meeting on Tuesday to review the affairs of Balochistan’s major Government Hospital CM Jam Kamal called the plight of Civil Hospital as uncomfortable for poor masses.

“The 1000 bed hospital was the only hospital in Balochistan providing health facilities for poor masses across the province but not meeting public expectations.” Jam Kamal said added provision of quality health facilities to masses remained out top priority.

Provincial Health Minister Meer Naseebullah Marri, Secrtary Health, Commissioner Quetta and MS Hospital were present in the meeting.

Taking notice over lack of medicines in the Hospital CM Balochistan said, despite release of mammoth of funds, still the hospital has been facing shortage of medicines which needs to be addressed on emergency level,

“Poor performance of MSD causing hurdles in provision of medicines in Civil Hospital which should be addressed immediately, government has decided to finalize a new policy for medicine purchase in government hospitals.” Jam Kamal said added government won’t tolerate any negligence toward health department.

Expressing irk over performance of employees of health department Jam Kamal said, the staff of health sector have been taking salaries therefore they should show seriousness toward their job.

“Government has been installing cameras to monitor affairs of Government Hospital.”

CM Balochistan directed authorities to prepare PC1 for construction and repairing of Civil Hospital also directed finance department to release funds for Civil Hospital on priority levels.

“Non-serious attitude of former governments have increase issues in Civil Hospital but positive will can’t prevent any government of ensuing facilities for masses.” CM Balochistan added.

He directed authorities to submit review report in Chief Minister Secretariat regarding affairs of Civil Hospital.
